Had a Good Stay. Problems with Toilet running all the time. Had the most outstanding experience at Breakfast! Margaret was warm, friendly, & helpful. Myself and another guest commented that Dark Roast Coffee was not very dark - more of a medium roast. Margaret was right there to try and help. Your coffee was some of the worst I've tasted.

Driving from Minnesota, I thought I would use some miles for the one night. My fault, I thought it was closer to the freeway but, it ended up being great. As much as I love the app, in that same breath, I don't like the app. Using the app, you never have to see anyone at the front desk. I mean, it's amazing. I checked in from my phone on the way, digital key and went straight to my room. Great as I was tired from a long drive. However, the app, I feel it's just another way for society to lose their social skills and become peopleless. We still need people. The front desk manager, Erik, is great. I love that he does have great social skills. He was so nice, accommodating and just an easy person to talk to. He is a keeper. Don't let him go. Room is basic. Clean but old.

The star at this hotel is April who runs the complimentary breakfast. She is the reason to return to this location. Always friendly and helpful. The items switched out on the breakfast buffet daily. I love the maple glazed sausage …

The hotel is worn and in need of cleaning. The lobby area was not inviting as the floors were littered as well as the coffee station. The room's carpeting was dirty. Also, the rooms need more outlets or charging stations.

We have stayed at the Hampton Inn several times when visiting our daughter at SIU-C. It has consistently been a great place to stay and the entire staff is fantastic!! Our daughter recently graduated, and we are not planning on coming back to the area. We will miss Carbondale and our stays in the Hampoton Inn-we just want to let you all know how much we truly appreciate each and every one of you...NICE JOB!!

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, but the customer service was above and beyond. My husband mentioned it was our anniversary at check-in and the night clerk went out of her way to slip a happy anniversary card under our door!
